Welcome to Skamania County Extension
Creating a culture of life-long learning
WSU Skamania County Extension engages people, organizations, and communities to advance their well-being by connecting them to the knowledge base of the University and by fostering inquiry, learning, and the application of research. We have a long history of providing education, leadership and volunteer opportunities in horticulture, agriculture, natural resource and 4-H youth development to Skamania County residents. Thank you for exploring our programs.

Resource & Community Rich
90% of the county is forested with a like amount of land publically owned and managed that includes geological highlights of Mount Saint Helens and the Columbia River Gorge. Most Skamanians live on the southern boarder along the Columbia River, just upstream of the urban areas of Portland and Vancouver. The county offers a wide diversity of outdoor and cultural experiences along with farm treats from the orchards and vineyards. Learn more about Skamania County.
